"Professionals in early childhood education"

Christina (Aqua Room Group Leader) Joined our centre in 2010.  She holds a Diploma of Children's Services.  Christina came to our attention as an excellent student when she completed her practical field work for the Diploma at both this centre and our Tarragindi centre.

Jo & Lyn (Aqua Room Assistant)  Jo who joined our centre in 2009 is presently studying a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services.  Jo holds a Diploma of Education (Secondary), and is a very active and supportive community worker.  Lyn has been a valuable member of our centre since 2002.  Lyn has experience working with all age groups, holds a Certificate 3 in Children's Services. 

Peta (Group Leader) previous to joining Carina in 2006, Peta had a further 16 years in the child care industry.  She holds a Diploma of Child Care and Education.

Julie (Assistant) has worked in child care for the past 16 years, 11 of them at our centre.  She holds a Certificate 3 in Children's Services.

Leah  (Group Leader) has a Diploma in Children’s Services, she has previously worked as a teacher’s aide in the state school system and has 5 years child care experience – all of it at this centre.

Rosemary (Yellow Room Assistant) who holds a Bachelor Of Social Science and a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services.  She joined our centre in 2005.

Julie (Group Leader) has been in the industry for 10 years, with all of those being at our centre.  She holds a Diploma in Child Care & Education.

Katrina (Assistant)  holds a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services.  She has worked in child care for the past 12 years, with 9 of those being at our centre.

Taryn (Teacher) is a registered teacher and holds a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), to compliment the Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) she has held for the past few years.  Taryn's early childhood experience includes time at our Prior Street centre and Kindergarten / Year 1 teaching in NSW schools.

Coral  (Assistant) Coral holds a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services, with further experience including TESOL, working in a Thai orphanage and teaching art and music to early primary age children.   She has also worked at our Tarragindi and Prior Street centers. 

Michelle (Special Needs Support) provides invaluable support to the staff.  She has worked in the industry since 1996 commencing as a Inclusion Facilitator for PLAYCare, she joined us in 2004.  Michelle’s qualifications include Inclusion for Additional Needs.  

Taryn (float) who joined our centre in 2010 is presently studying the Certificate 3 in Children's Services.  She has put her Bachelor of Teaching and Learning degree into practice while working in New Zealand.

Kerry (Administrator) has worked as administrator for this centre and our other two for the past 9 years.  Kerry is a qualified Justice Of The Peace.

Lynn (Cook) has 20 years experience in the hospitality industry.  She joined our centre in 2001, working hard to cater to the dietary needs of over 100 children each week.  Lynn knows all the centre’s children through her support work with the teachers.  Lynn has completed a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.

Maria (Cook) joined our centre in 2010.  She has many years practical experience in commercial food preparation, menu design and planning.  She has also published her own cook book.

Angela (Operations Manager) commenced working at our Tarragindi centre in 1995 as the kindergarten teacher.  She worked at this centre as Director from 1999 to early 2008, before taking on the operations manager role.  She has a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education)
